He is hysterical and even if you don’t have children or remember your own childhood, you will be smiling and noding along as you read.

Of course, in a sitcom, this means that after 20 minutes in TV time, any grudges or arguments are completely resolved, and all is well in the Hennessy household. Thankfully, a capable cast and snappy dialogue help make those 20 minutes enjoyable and fun.

Untangled explains what’s going on, prepares parents for what’s to come, and lets them know when it’s time to worry. Bridget learns that the planned after party has been canceled. She then mentions at home that she’s decided to throw the after party at a hotel and asks her mom to book a room, but Cate forbids her to even take part in any after party. Kerry has published a pro-lesbian article in the school paper, gets asked to the prom by a lesbian girl.

Bridget soon finds success working at Strip Rags, a trendy store at the mall, and the family is impressed at her keen salesmanship.
This is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter. Otherwise, once you have gone out with my little girl, you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you. Bridget does her best to avoid eldest son Donny (Thad Luckinbill, “The Young and the Restless”) without realizing he’s grown up to become a handsome naval cadet.

I have not read his follow-up book about marrying off his daughter, but if you haven’t read Cameron, this is a great place to start. But if you are looking for some light reading, or have teenage girls, this book will provide welcome relief.
It was clever enough in some areas, but to tell the truth, the narrator was the part I disliked the most. It was read by John Ritter, who has a tendency to run sentences together as part of his comedic delivery. Mostly, even though I’m the wrong audience for this book, I was entertained. I laughed out loud at several points, and I disagree that the book is overtly misogynistic. Cameron makes fun equally of himself and his daughters in these pages. It is clear that he loves his daughters, even to the point of lampooning their relationship.
As the baby of the family and only son, Martin Spanjer’s Rory was always up to mischief. Before being cast on 8 Simple Rules, Spanjers had a recurring role on Two of a Kind and a guest spot on Malcolm in the Middle. He guest starred on iCarly, 90210, and had a recurring role on Good Luck Charlie.
